EV charging design is an add-on service on this desk rather than the main event. When a solar job also needs Level 2 or DC fast charger drawings, the same intake can produce the EVCS sheets so you are not managing two vendors.
What an EVCS package includes
A package normally carries the site or garage plan with charger locations, mounting and bollard details, the electrical single-line, load calculations, conduit routing, and the accessibility notes the AHJ enforces.
Service capacity and load
The recurring problem is service capacity. Adding chargers to an existing panel usually means a load calculation, and sometimes load management hardware instead of a service upgrade. Getting that answer before the permit goes in avoids a redesign.
